While reading Mindset by Carol Dweck, I was beginning to doubt if I had been underestimating the
throughout all my life, but after finishing the book, I was sure of it.
Our minds are what makes us work , thus, our minds are the main cause of our successes . It is actually quite obvious: haven't we been told all our lives that with a positive attitude things mostly tend to work out alright? Well there's much more to that concept, because in my opinion, having a positive attitude no matter the outcome is a definite characteristic of a growth-minded thinker.
We all make mistakes, we all have flaws, we all have skills that could be worked on: its all part of humanity. But just like the humans we are, we each have a choice to make whether we will take in these facts in a positive or negative manner. Let's say you get a bad grade on a test; one that you could have probably put more effort on. There are two choices: you can immediately give up and think that it was the best you could do, or you can think positively and immediately try to identify your mistakes so you can improve the grade. Small decisions like this can arise in all of our daily lives--maybe some more significant than others, and it is entirely up to us whether we want to take the growth-minded route or the fixed-minded one.
The mind has that power; that power that WE get to control, and all it takes is just a positive mind and some faith in ourselves, to get us on the right path towards success.
