During this first week of being in the IA I already feel like I've learned new things, but one thing has really S T O O D O U T . We have started the year with iWeek and have been working in large groups with 10th, 11th, and 12th graders. At first the working was done effectively, but not everyone would participate, or we wouldn't do anything until we were told to do so. This week I have learned how to lead and work as a group. We have worked in big groups and also sometimes divided into smaller groups, but in all of these, almost every member would tend to participate at some point. I believe this is mainly because the atmosphere in which we work is a very positive one, in which nobody is afraid to share their ideas. With this kind of leadership, I felt like I could ask any member of the class anything or any doubt I had and, due to this, we got many things done. We were working in an environment in which mistakes would be learned from, challenges were exciting , and motivation was present. If this is how the Innovation Academy is all the time, then I can't wait for what's to come.
