Of course, it's an illusive thought to think that a world full of positive feedback is a good one, because I, as a person, wouldn't like to solely recieve compliments if there are also possible improvements in the way. Individuals grow through constructive feedback, and most are motivated by it, but society is forgetting to find the balance between both. | The truth is, one positive comment, one supportive comment has the power to drive and motivate someone to keep it up (whatever "it" may be) because that simple feeling that you are succeeding, or that you're a step closer, is thrilling. |
I'm not saying that you should never mention when there's a flaw in someone's work, because that's what makes us grow, but people should stop focusing on only the weaknesses, and start searching for the strengths. While constructive feedback tells you how to improve, positive feedback points out the directions in which you are on the right track and it serves as motivation that you really CAN do it. |
